These are some considerations that we are more than happy to discuss with you: While the child is in transit there are some Personal care items that have to be readily available so it makes sense to bring them along. On the other hand it could be a real burden to carry all of your baby equipment with you. Car seats or folding strollers might not be to much of a hassle especially if you will be needing them before baby arrives at your accommodations If traveling from the airport by shuttle you might not need a child safety seat. Ask the shuttle company ahead of time. Naturally it makes allot of sense to rent larger baby gear like the crib , stroller , swing and high chair because of their size. . What about baby's other stuff ? Those items that keep the children occupied and happy so that you can be un- occupied and happy. The bouncy seat is like the" Lazy Boy for infants and they come with a built in vibrator. The "exer-saucer" gives baby all the benefits and exercise of the old style "walkers" but you don't have to worry about them walking out the door or down a flight of stairs. Reserve a car seat for your rental car Most car rental companies will let you rent a car seat from an independent Baby Equipment Rental company. By reserving your car seat in advance you can be sure that Away Baby Care will deliver a clean seat that is compatible to your child's age and weight and it will be waiting with your rental car prior to your arrival. The car seat may be reserved immediately after you reserve your car. However if you feel that your plans may change or do not want to commit at such an early date we may request holding off on the reservation until a week or to prior to your rental date. Why reserve a car seat? A reservation is made to insure that we have a commitment to hold and have available the specific type of car seats suitable for your children as specified by you for the period of time that you request. We may have to refuse to rent these seats to other customers for a period of up to 30 days prior to or concurrent to your rental period. For this reason most car rental companies do not reserve car seats and it is the same reason that we must secure your commitment by securing payment prior to the rental date. With out the secured commitment either party would be free to back out at the last minute leaving the other in a predicament . What happens when I reserve a car seat ? We take the reservation process very seriously. When a reservation is established your representative hand picks the car seats according to the child's age and if possible the type of seat that they are accustomed to at home. These seats have identifying numbers and your reservation is attached to the numbers so that they may be tracked and made available for cleaning and tagging at least 3 days prior to the pick up date, at that time they are pulled from circulation and they are sanitized, cleaned and tagged with your reservation info,, next they are delivered to the specific car rental location where it is placed in a back room where they are kept clean, dry and secure until the time that you request the representative to retrieve them by name.
